\"108\"I made my children laugh today.\u00a0 I mean, I often make them smile and maybe giggle but today I got them laughing.\u00a0 I wish I could say they were laughing with <\/em>me, but I would certainly be lying.\u00a0 They were definitely laughing at<\/em> me.<\/p>\n

As you all know, tributes to Michael Jackson are being played on nearly every channel.\u00a0 Well, BET is running all of his videos and, much to my delight, Thriller came on.\u00a0 As I stated in my previous post, that song was my jam, way back in the day.\u00a0 I knew the whole routine, every step, every word, every note.\u00a0 Guess what I found out today?\u00a0 Man, I still know it!\u00a0 I couldn’t believe it!\u00a0 So there I was, definitely caught up in one of those moments of nostalgia, getting my groove on!\u00a0 I was movin’ and shakin’ right along with MJ and the rest of the zombies, and actually keeping up!\u00a0 Herein lies the problem…I am nine<\/em> months pregnant.\u00a0 Oops…I forgot all about Baby Boy in my uterus, and for that moment was just a thirteen year old girl, dancing along with her crush.<\/p>\n

Of course, I don’t think that’s quite what my kids saw.\u00a0 Actually, I don’t even want to imagine the humorous horror that filled the big, brown eyes of my children, who now sat in awe of their whale-looking mother, laughing their as#*% off. What’s up with that?<\/p>\n

I remember that I used to seriously think that if Michael Jackson could really just see me do the\u00a0Thriller, he would most certainly invite me on tour or something.\u00a0\u00a0There was never a\u00a0doubt in my thirteen year old mind I could be one of his back up dancers…WOW. Now my own children are just that same age, and after today, I believe they think that their mother is just a very<\/em> silly old woman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
