Two Weeks Into Treatment, Childhood Nephrotic Syndrome

D’Lo is now two weeks into treatment for his recently diagnosed kidney disease. I put out the call to all you Prayer Warriors…and you answered. We sent up ours prayers for D’Angelo…and He answered. The swelling around his eyes was all the way gone this morning, and his precious face is more familiar. The protein levels in his urine are going down as well. Although his moods are still altered by the prednisone, and his sleep disrupted, his body is responding positively to the treatment. He is healing.

With several more weeks left to continue taking the prednisone, and with my ever-present concerns about its side effects, and even though your continued prayers are appreciated…we are claiming the victory – In Jesus’ Name. Thank You, Lord.

These are some silly pictures I took of our beautiful son this morning. As you can see, although his little kidneys are not feeling well, his HUGE personality is definitely intact!
