They were messing with each other, back and forth as we ran errands in the car, Dee Dee and her daddy. I was enjoying their silliness (is that a word?), amused by the interactions taking place between the handsome driver and his very cute, back-seat passenger. The girls are at an age where they like to push the envelope with their father…but they do it jokingly in an attempt to test the defiancy waters, if you know what I mean. This particular day he was feeling equally as playful and, in an attempt to remind her that she was still just twelve, he joked that he could still spank her behind.
Her response?
“I wish you would! Try it and I’m gonna have to call…THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE!”
I laughed all the way home, hee hee. Thanks Dee Dee!
