V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!

The Portland Raiders are one step closer to clinching a spot in the upcoming playoffs…

Attention Raiders Nation (OK, so maybe more like Raiders City)!!  The guys brought their all to the field, kickin’ butt and taking names, as they trampled the Yakima Mavericks in a must win battle tonight. I didn’t actually get to watch the game since the newborn makes it kind of hard to travel to away games but, never the less, I am so proud of my husband and his Portland Raiders. Well, they’re not actually his Raiders but he’s doing a da** fine job leading this team to a definite comeback.

The Raiders have come a long way from the disorganized, disorderly, and sometimes disrespectful team that existed in the silver and black just last year. I remember attending games (while my husband still played) where the cursing coming from the players on the sideline was audible to the (very few) fans in the stands…and their children, and where fights broke out between our players and their own team mates! Well, with the new owner, Mike Jeske, the new league (Portland Raiders are now a member of the North American Football League, Northwest Division. Visit www.NAFL.org for more information), and the new coach…the new, sexy, handsome, talented, amazing, tireless, incredibly cute in his coaching shirt coach…Sorry, I lost my train of thought. OK, back on track. What I mean to say is that, with tonight’s 28-12 win over the Yakima Mavs, we are extremely proud of our Portland Raiders, players, coaches, and owner. GREAT JOB TONIGHT!

For more Raiders info, you can visit the official website at www.portlandraiders.org. I would also like to encourage everyone to come out and support the guys at next week’s home game against the undefeated Southern Oregon Renegades. It’s sure to be an exiting battle. GO RAIDERS!!!
